At first I wondered why this little thorny plant could mature so quickly to produce a bean, and a "monster" at that .  Turns out this little branch is sprouting from a long cut down passel of branches sawed off at the ground.

TURNS OUT this could be Honey Mesquite instead.  I'm so confused as to which is which.

AND one is toxic and the other is sweet and medicinal.

Honey Locust (Black Locust)

Sailboat.

What happened to the time. April has been long gone. I have enjoyed working at the gate at Cedar Hill State Park. I finally got bored with reading and little else to do so I got a 14 foot dolphon sailboat and have sailed it everyday. 2 days ago however, I tump the boat over. Very embarrassing to have my mud on my mast. The hardest part was getting the boat right side up again. To make it easier I'm going to attach a line to the top and bottom of the rudder so that I can get my foot into that line like a loop. And then climb on board the back. I won't get back in the boat until that's done. Paragraph overall sailing has improved the strength in my back and my legs. I can't wait to get Reese sailing with me.
